Sketching at Historic Fort York

 

SUNDAY OCTOBER 15 2023

We will be meeting to sketch Fort York! This is a historic location with lots of old buildings, artefacts and, if timings lines up, reenactments and displays in uniform. Nearby, there is also the Bentway with a lot of interesting angles, and art installations. By mid-October, the nearby trees in the park should also provide some great colour.

It's an open museum as well, so people are free to stay afterwards to explore.

Sketching at the Distillery District [Demo + Meet Up]

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 30 2023

We will be meeting this Saturday to sketch at the Distillery! This is a beautiful, historical location with lots of sculptures and buildings to sketch. Toronto Pen Shoppe has partnered with us so make sure you visit them in-store.

We'll meet up near the Big Heart sculpture (the Distillery entrance off Parliament near Mill St.)

10:30 - Demo with Eileen Reilly
11am - Sketching with the group or individually depending on preference
1pm - Throwdown at the heart sculpture

Sketching the Rubber Duck at Toronto Waterfront Festival

 SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 16 2023

Hey sketchers! We will be meeting again this Saturday to sketch the giant rubber duck (or anything you are interested in sketching at the Toronto Waterfront Festival).

We will meet at 1pm at 7 Queens Quay E, where the rubber duck is nesting. From there you can either sketch the rubber duck with the group or find any other subject you’re interested in. We will meet back in the same spot for our throwdown at 4pm.
