[RSVP REQUIRED] Sketching at Beethoven and Brahms Concert by Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra

SATURDAY APRIL 6, 2024

Sketching at Beethoven and Brahms Concert by Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra

REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Read carefully below.

Please note the ticket is complimentary but registration is required due to limited tickets. Register here: https://forms.gle/otScaisPhq6LnLna9  If you do not register, you may be turned away due to capacity.

We've been invited by the Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra's Beethoven & Brahms performance! It's a community orchestra (mix of professionals, university music students and high level community amateurs) so there will be an interesting mix of faces and instruments to sketch. The soloist has the use of one of the fine instruments from Canada Council's instrument bank this year and is a rising classical star. Please do not bring any wet media that can cause spillage or disruption. Kindly keep any wet media to a waterbrush only, dry media preferred. The concert will be from 7:30-10:00pm.

Where: The Salvation Army Scarborough Citadel
Address: 2021 Lawrence Ave E, Scarborough, ON
When: Saturday April 6, 7:30-10:00pm
Host: Judy Onody

7:00pm - Please check in with Judy at the front to confirm attendance before proceeding to the box office to claim your complimentary ticket. Please note if you are late you'll be responsible for your own entrance and we cannot guarantee you'll be let in. We'll be directed to various seats throughout the house with different views! Your placement will be up to the venue.
Please note due to the nature of this meetup there will be no meet-and-greet at the beginning. It will be moved to the end (after the performance).

10:00pm - We will meet in the lobby to share our sketches at the throwdown. Throwdown location subject to change; please check with Judy.

  1. People can totally meet and greet before the performance. We're casual. If you arrive late volunteers will let you in during a break in the music. Seating is open so you can choose your own location. There are about 200 seats (bench seating) on the ground floor and 60 in the balcony and there is an elevator in the lobby for the upper level access. Free underground parking. There is information on getting to the venue at: https://spo.ca/venue/scarborough-citadel/
