[DEMO+MEETUP] Sketching at Salsa on Market Street

  SUNDAY, JUNE 30, 2024

As a special collaboration with the Old Town Toronto BIA, we have been invited to sketch at their inaugural Salsa on Market Street event!

Address: St. Lawrence Market; we will meet at the skirting/walkway along St. Lawrence Market that overlooks Market Street.

When: Sunday, June 30, 2024 - 12:00pm - 2:00pm, rain or shine.

12:00pm: Mauricio (@mauricio.munoz.ta) will briefly demonstrate the art of urban sketching before everyone disperses to sketch the dancing happening all along Market Street

2:00pm: Meet back up for the sketchbook throwdown

Sketchers are welcome to stay and enjoy the festival after the dedicated meetup time. There is a salsa performance also happening from 4-6pm

Sketching the Lakeshore West Garden Tour

  SATURDAY, JUNE 22, 2024

As a special collaboration with the Lakeshore West Garden Tour, we will be sketching at their annual Tour event. This year, there are over 50 participating and very sketchable gardens for sketchers to choose from. See attached photos for map and list of addresses for the gardens. Circled on map are gardens closest to 3 Ash Crescent meeting point.

When: Saturday June 22, 2024 - 11:00am - 1:00pm, rain or shine. In case of rain, sketchers may also come to sketch individually on Sunday June 23.

Sketching at Toronto's East Chinatown

 SUNDAY, JUNE 16, 2024

Toronto East Chinatown features many sketching opportunities such as the market-like Chinese grocery stores, cafes/restaurants, and various mixed commercial/residential buildings that line Gerrard Street. Nearby is the iconic Zhong Hua-Men Archway that will be our initial meeting point, as well as the Riverdale Public Library, Bridgepoint Healthcare Centre, and the historic (former) Don Jail building.

When: Sunday, June 16, 2024 - 1:30 to 3:30pm
